Hey all, Clint here, intruding briefly on the artist’s turf. We’re still on our temporary “vacation”, so no comic this week. But as promised, we still have some treats for you guys… in this case, some original music!
Here’s the lyrics, and the credits, because I can’t thank a couple very talented friends enough for helping me out on the performance side of things. If you want a bit more detail on how this came about, check out my blog. Otherwise, click play and enjoy!
Lyrics: Clint Wolf — Music & Vocals: Seth Linker & Justin Miller
Every sunrise they greet a new dawn of the dead
They’re out boltin’ and brandin’ and countin’ the head
No glory, no diamonds, no frills and no mansion
It just, just pays the bills when you’re out zombie ranchin’
They’ve stepped to the call with one foot in the grave
So far from the walls of a Safe Zone enclave
So come on and ride with the bold and the brave.
Though this kind of strife, might set city folks to blanchin’
It’s just a day in the unlife, when you’re out zombie ranchin’.
It’s just a day in the unlife, when you’re out zombie ranchin’.

I’m sure there are a lot of grateful un-dead pleased at the posthumous, humorous homage to their rancho ‘rangling. Yee-ha. It’s great.
yup, I liked it. even gave away some background info: there are “Safe Zone enclave”s…
This song is just to happy. Oh well that s country for ya
Thanks everyone, we had a blast making it!
Heh, cute but I agree, it sound too happy for such a morbid job
Fantastic! To be honest, I’d enjoy putting this on my iPod. XD It’s catchy.
Well seeing as it’s an MP3, I don’t see any reason you couldn’t iPod It. Maybe I can get a download link up in the Extras section.
As for it sounding too happy, well, it wouldn’t be the first TV theme that seemed out of place with its subject matter. Networks can do strange things.
