So I’m not very good at flying on a plane. Just the thought of being so high off the ground and not having much to save my butt if we crashed. Around Christmas, Clint and I were flying up to San Francisco and hit some pretty bad turbulence. Obviously I started to freak out like the dork I am and Clint’s job at times like that is to find a way to distract me.
The distraction was talking about the comic and soon I was so focused on the ending for Episode 3 that I forgot we were on a plane. We had a plan for the end, but didn’t have a visual for it yet. I have a habit of always having a sketchbook close at hand and started drawing this page. The quick sketch gave us ideas of “Road Warrior” meets “Oklahoma!“.

Hey guys, “eyebrow girl” here (you remember me, with the striped eyebrows?)! I’ll be going to San Diego Comic Con this year for the very first time, and I’m thrilled that I’ll get to see you both there! Congratulations on getting a spot! I’ll also see you in October at Long Beach Comic Con, that is assuming you’ll be there this year. Can’t wait!
How could we forget one of our earliest fans? That’s great to hear we’ll see you at SDCC, you were very fortunate to be able to grab a ticket this year. I’ll tell you right now, it’s unlike any Comic Con you’ve ever experienced, for sheer scale if nothing else.
And yes, we’ll be in Long Beach at the end of October. We better be, after they put our names on the flyer!

But Clint’s right, San Diego Comic Con is very different and it’s very crowded. And my tip is to wear comfy shoes.
