145 – The Prod Gets Even

Looks like the "crush" first shown way back in Comic #5 works both ways. Just like Suzie promised him, Cousin Bob got only two strikes. But he's still out. Long Beach Comic and Horror Con this year was fantastic, both for us and for our longtime friend Justin Robinson, who was there for his first solo outing to promote several of his recently published novels. Sales-wise it's the best we've ever done at a local show, plus we got to talk to some very dedicated fans of Zombie Ranch, all of whom were hoping Cousin Bob was on his way to some form of nasty comeuppance. We're guessing this week's comic should be pretty satisfying. More talk on Clint's blog: CLICK HERE. Be sure you read, because there's also a Kickstarter for a zombie game we found over the weekend we think is worthy of support!

  1. No comments yet? How can this be? This is such an awesome strip. I’m loving this scene and looking forward to seeing a new zed added to the flock 😀 Or at least he learns his lesson for hittin’ women.

  2. If I had a quarter for every time I thought we’d concocted an awesome scene, but we ended up getting little to no commentary, I could… well, I could at least do some loads of laundry. You learn to chug along regardless 🙂

Seriously though, thank you, I’m glad you liked!

  3. So far, every scene you’ve set up has been fantastic, in my opinion.

    1. You don’t know how happy it still makes me when someone expresses opinions like that. We do our best, but in the end there’s nothing like hearing positive feedback from a successfully engaged fan.

  4. I agree. It’s a unique take on the zombie story, which is awesome!

  5. I don’t even like zombies, and you’ve gotten me interested in the story.

  6. Ooh…Snack time…thanks for all the great work. Long time reader, first time poster.

  7. Thanks for reading, Norman. And posting. 🙂

  8. I’ve been at a larp game, I didn’t see it til now. And DAYAM. That is one hell of a way to die.

  9. Saving my comments for when sweetpea gets bitten – good start though.

  10. Usually when I come to this comic, it’s been sitting around for a few days. Why repeat what’s already been said? It’s not like this is a comic that I anxiously come check on every day, looking for a new update. 😉

  11. @Connie – I’ve had the moment in my head for months, so it’s fun to finally share… with Dawn’s help, of course!

@That one guy – Anxiously checking here every day for an update would probably be a good sign of insanity. Or eventually lead to such 😉

  12. Well, that’s one down, two to go. I think “Honeysuckle” is next on Suzie’s hit list. 😀
