204 – Dire Education

For those of you not familiar with Spanish idioms, Rosa's words can be uttered in many situations, but in this context it's akin to someone in English stating "Fuck my life". It's like, you rob a bank, then come out to find your getaway car has been towed. Oh, and then someone informs you the bank you robbed was actually a front for the mob. Only in this case the mob in question is the most ruthless bunch of crazies in the entire Weird New West. So our seventh issue is off to the printers, hopefully for a turnaround in time for WonderCon Anaheim next month. Did you know our sixth issue was available? Sometimes we're not so good about getting the word out, which is especially complicated now that Facebook has changed things so most of our fans can't get updates reliably that way. There have also been some changes to Indyplanet where our store links weren't working for awhile, but they should all be functioning again, so if you're interested, give a click here: LINK.

  1. Looks like Rosa will become an official Ranch girl 😀 except if she can stick rockets to her bike to be sure she can escape fast enough

  2. Do I see a ROAD WARRIOR baddie or two as hood ornaments in that first frame?

    1. Lord Humungus was a reasonable man. Perhaps too reasonable…

  3. Funny, I looked for printed editions once but didn’t find any… thanks for resharing it! 🙂

    Added! http://dragoneers.com/webcomicsoffline/zombie-ranch/

    1. Thanks for the listing! Just as well you’re doing it now since all the URLs recently changed due to a database overhaul at IndyPlanet.

  4. I was just going to comment, that on indyplanet the link for issue 3 doesn’t work, it brings me back to issue 2

  5. Don’t remind me, I still have other books at Indy Planet on the site I need to update the links for…

  6. @asheswillfall, can you give me the URL for the IndyPlanet page where that bad link is? Everything I’ve found so far appears to be going correctly to Issue 3, both here and there.

  7. @Clint It’s from the link Hogan posted. Both #2 and #3 have the same product id number (61958), so anytime I would try to click on 3 it would take me to 2

    1. Ah, that’s on Hogan’s end then, not IndyPlanet’s. On our store page and the IndyPlanet pages it has the correct number. I’ll let him know in case he’s no longer checking these comments.

  8. I noticed that afterwards. I got it to work fine on yours. I haven’t submitted an order yet, waiting to decide how many I want.

  9. In the interests of fairness (and because I might have less-than-cutthroat business instincts) — Dawn and I are still hoping to get a Kickstarter together later this year to have the individual issues 1-7 collected as a single trade. No guarantees we’d get that funded or when fulfillment would be, but if we’re successful that could be another option for people wanting the story in print. 🙂

  10. … I believe the Word I am looking for here is… “whoops”? 😐

Well spotted Ashes, it should be fixed now 🙂

And the only thing that can make a good webcomic even better is to have it in print! 🙂

  11.
Lord Humungus was a reasonable man. Perhaps too reasonable…
“Just walk away…” 😀
