78 – Idealized Conditions

Here's a little taste of what Clint has to go through working with an artist like me. Some of you have experienced it at comic conventions when you've met me and others might have noticed it is some of my artwork. But I have one weird and strange imagination. So I finished up this page and showed it to Clint to see what he had to say. It got his approval (a few minor changes) and then he looked at panel 3 and said "What would it look like if you drew a sun right here" and pointed to a blank area of the sky in the panel. This was my suggestion... Clint said that it looked too much like a monster attacking the mountain. I agreed and altered it to the one that you see above. Some might remember another drawing I did called "Another Day in the Kingdom" and ask what is up with me and mountain monsters? It's a very simple answer, really. I am a little sister...and was very gullible when I was a child. I was told things from my big brother like that the clouds rolling over the mountains were actually waves from the ocean that might crash down into our town. Also that certain mountains were sleeping giants.  Now that I'm older, I laugh about it with my big brother and play around with ideas like mountain monsters.
