UPDATING OCCASIONALLY (FOR NOW)

129 – A Need For Speed

San Diego Comic-Con is upon us! Clint and I aren't exhibiting this year so it won't be quite so crazy, but I've still been hard at work getting stuff ready for my space at the Art Show in addition to getting this week's comic done. Because of the convention that means next Wednesday will be an art posting rather than a story comic, so if you'd rather skip that then mark your calendar to come back by on July 25th. Clint has declared he'll still do his blog for the 18th, as usual. If you're lucky enough to also be attending San Diego, stop by my artwork! Lots of stuff to bid on. The Art Show is in a cordoned-off corner of the Sails Pavilion upstairs from the exhibit hall. It can be easy to miss if you haven't been there before, but if you go past the Freebie Table and out the doors and take a right, you should see the entrance, usually with a staffer stationed for security. Yes, you have to leave the Pavilion and then come back in, it sounds weird but not once you get used to it. I'm going to try to have my exact location inside of the show posted on my website at www.artofdawn.com once I know it for sure, but otherwise it's not too huge to walk through... you should recognize a couple Zombie Ranch prints... and unless someone happens to have already bought it, there'll also be this original illustration of She-Ra and Rainbow Brite mud wrestling. Can't miss that!

  1. O.K., two things…1) that gal in this weeks’ comic rules. Not slowing down is the smartest thing I’ve seen anyone do in this comic. Ever. And 2) Rainbow Brite looks an awful lot like Supergirl. In fact, I think Supergirl would be better off in this matchup, since RB isn’t noted for having super-strength. 🙂

    1. Last two times we met Lacey she didn’t come off as a mental giant, but she certainly knows when to seize an opportunity to retreat! ‘Course that’s easier when you feel like the most you lose is your job…
