383 – Reductive Reasoning

CLINT: So if you didn't catch my blog last week, Project Wonderful is shutting down after many years of operation. Meaning that after next Wednesday this site is going to look a lot emptier as most of the little (and not-so-little) webcomic banners go away. They didn't make us any huge amounts of money, but it was something, so Dawn wanted me to be sure and once again let y'all know about her Patreon page if you'd like to chip in a bit towards our continuing creations. Completely voluntary of course, which I feel I should emphasize given the timing of this next announcement: SUMMER VACATION. Sort of. To clarify, San Diego Comic-Con is coming up fast, and shortly beyond that a family trip has been scheduled around an out-of-town cousin's wedding... so rather than pausing things, coming back briefly and then pausing again, Dawn and I have decided it makes more sense for us to just engage a hiatus in a single block. The upshot is we plan to post one more story comic for July 11th, and then starting after that we'll be on hold for about a month, returning to action August 22nd. We'll try not to leave you with too big of a cliffhanger in the meantime. As for content during the hiatus we're not quite sure yet, we always in the past have liked to present little somethings to tide you guys over but it depends what we can work out, it's possible we might just flat out hit the pause button this time. But we'll see. Anyhow, there's a heads up so you guys know what's going down and that even if we must pause we will certainly be back. And in the meantime, we'll definitely see you next week!

  1. as long as the ads dont blare audio and arent too intrusive, place some ads as necessary! hell even put a ‘we see you’re using adblocker, please turn it off to support the webcomic’ kinda message too!

sad to read about project wonderful ending up in a not so wonderful end now 🙁

  2. Yeah, the problem is with PW gone there aren’t any paid ad services left that I trust, thus the promotion of the Patreon option. Wouldn’t go back to Google AdSense even if they wanted us. But we appreciate the message of support 🙂
