04 – Mornin’ of the Dead

Was at a party recently and a big debate was:  if you were on an island, would you be safe from zombies?  Sure it comes down to what type of zombie epidemic is invading the world. If it's one where there is some sort of airborne or radioactive world wide epidemic that spreads when just a person dies, then no. But I think this debate was for if the only way to become a zombie was to be bitten by a zombie. So there is an island not contaminated yet and the question was would the zombies get to it easily? I say the important factor to put in this question is how far away is this island from infected land? Because if it's far enough, the water and fish life will probably eat away at the zombie before they even reach the island (this is also going with the idea that Zombies don't need air). Would you be safe on an island?
