That last line made me just a little sad, having just had a beautiful 14 oz slab of prime rib for my birthday yesterday. Way to tug at my stomach strings.

Hey, your posting here first is prima facie evidence of how much we got a reaction out of you. 🙂

One of the things I love most about Dawn’s art is how she can capture subtleties of expression in a character’s face. I like to think my words do their part, but Chuck’s expression in Panel 3 is a perfect image of wistful longing that (at least for me) is coming at least partly from his stomach, not just his heart.

But hell, the stomach’s the way you get there with a man, isn’t it?
