  1. “A liquor bottle and a pocket knife are no substitute for proper medical care.” Words to remember! Maybe I’ll get that as a patch for my trauma kit, right next to “Nothing that a bullet can’t cure.”

  2. Ms. White Cloud would would never confess to enjoying seeing our hero sitting in his undershirt. And nice memes, [ConcordBob]

  3. [ConcordBob] – Any relation to “Uncle Bob” (T2) ?

  4. I jokingly refer to my big Swiss Army Knife as my pocket “Civil War field surgeon kit,” with its large serrated blade and wood (bone) saw. Give the patient a shot of whatever liquor is near, and we’ll call it good! 99% of the time it’s the tweezers to pull a splinter, or scissors for snipping a ripped fingernail at work.

  5. I used to habitually carry an SAK, though mostly for computer work and popping open beer bottles. I stopped after metal detectors and frisking started happening in more and more places. I still can’t imagine trying to actually hurt someone with even the “big” (2 inch?) blade but I’d just as soon get into the Dave & Buster’s on Saturday evening for a burger without argument.

  6. Yeah, metal detectors have changed my life also – they pop up in the least expected places. After a couple of trips back to the car to offload, I just do a self search before leaving the vehicle.
