UPDATING OCCASIONALLY (FOR NOW)

487 – Got Beef?

[ Update 1/10/2022: Happy(?) New Year's to everyone (and I hope that question mark doesn't apply to you). We're updating Dawn's computer this week so our plan is for a new comic page on the 19th. See you then! ] CLINT: Hey, here we are again! Next comic will likely be in January, but in the meantime we're finally dusting off our convention loadout and preparing for our first physical show outing since the beginning of 2020. Midsummer Scream is a horror convention that usually occurs in August but the pandemic has thrown the entire show circuit into disarray and so this year they pushed it into December for some "Season's Screamings" at the Pasadena Convention Center in Southern California, just in time for the Holidays! It remains to be seen just how much folks are ready for some Christmas fear to go with their Christmas cheer, but if the show goes slow for us then that might be a good thing as we ease back in to such things. Not that we would mind meeting some folks and making some money, as well. Sounds like a win/win situation, and lordy knows we could use some of that!

  1. Thank you for the comic – I’d love to see you, but I’m still avoiding everybody it’s practical to avoid 🙁

  2. Hope the Con went well and there were no major issues. Apparently Covid has made a comeback across the country. Lots of folks staying home again. Lot of folks sick again. Stay safe!

  3. We came down with something post-Con but thankfully it wasn’t the Omicron, and I think we also managed to dodge it for our (reduced) family Christmas celebration. Some of our friends haven’t been so lucky, one went to a party masked up except to just eat and drink, but a lot of people there weren’t masked and he came down with it and gave it to his kid as well. Thankfully both vaxxed and boostered but he was still miserably sick for several days as well as having to spend Xmas and NYE quarantined.

Anyhow the Con went well but I don’t think we’ll be tempting fate with another one for a few months at least.
